Are models getting sexier?

My friends, you haven't seen me for a while as I have been undergoing some dental surgery and am missing a front tooth. I would rather you not see me looking like a jack-o-lantern, even if Halloween is approaching.

Here's a little something for you this week to take a break from my travel journals. Ads and models from current magazine who are very sexy. Are models getting sexier? It kind of looks like it. Good.

We have something new this week. I have noticed that the male models are getting more and more mature looking. Evidently the aging of America is showing up in garment sales. Atleast men don't seem to want to look like skinny teenagers anymore. Here's a whole batch for you to peruse. Definitely more mature, no?

Dear Getting Older II,

I don't know if you can call it "spiritual" but I am more and more aware that we are on this ball whirling around through space that is quite beautiful and that we should really enjoy being here and experience our life as completely as possible. This means not caring what the neighbors think and not being as competitive with others. Only with yourself, to be as terrific as you can be doing the things you really want to do. Really, don't worry what others think of you. Only about what you think of them!

They say they do but I don't believe them. I think we always want to physically connect with other humans, we just kind of give up on the possibility as we lose our looks. We shouldn't! I think you don't lose it and can use it when the other person turns you on. If they don't, of course you don't get excited. For men and women alike, keep as fit as you can, don't ignore cosmetic surgery, get out and meet younger people in adult education classes or charitable activities. Honestly, you're always somebody's type. Jsut don't ignore them. there is nothing wrong with being hot and sexy after sixty. Really!

My publishers wanted me to call my new novel " an autobiographical novel." So I could always tell you that it is fiction. But the real reason it doesn't bother me is that no one that knows me ever reads my books. My life is an open book, but they don't open it. Curious, no? And also, I like having no secrets. I can never be blackmailed. I got their first.

It seems like single older men are only looking for "hook ups".  Where can I a meet an older man who wants to actually date? I dated a 65 year old lawyer and really enjoyed doing so about a year ago, things didn't work out.  It seems like the older men are already jaded by long term relationships. I understand not wanting to be burned again by love, but I am really attracted to older guys. Do you think there is any hope to find one that would be interested in long term love?

Please keep looking. You sounds like a man many older men would LOVE to meet. I have to think about where to make contact but probably bars and online are not the best venues for a relationship. Most older gay men have not had successful long term relationships and still hope for one. Are there any clubs for men in whatever field you work in? Somehow I think you need to look around in the investments/finance field. Take an investment/porfolio class, play golf - find activities that don't revolve around the bars. Handsomest MEN in the World! Today I give you TWO selections. I found an early photo of Arnold Scwarzenegger lifting a weight underwater. Arnold had it going on and took body building into a whole new sexy category. I remember seeing early PR on Arnold when he was living with a wealthy "mentor" in Spain - an older man. ?????????? I think Arnold has seen it all.

For those who want contemporary hot stuff, how about this young man? A new model on the scene. Not a usual model's face. He's got that something.

Dear Mr. Dignity,You got it! There is something about jeans on older people that is just not right. I think we need to set the pace of being well put together on the front edge of fashion but we can't just pretend to be "hanging out." as for sneakers, I wear the kind that have a lot of shelance holes but no shoelaces because I think they say something. Sort of the nouveau sneaker. But the big, thick highly colored kind? You are right. Never!

This is a really great Handsomest Man in the World this week. Karl-Edwin Guerre, captured at the fashion shows in Paris a few weeks ago. Very handsome, very stylish. The big toggle coat he wore was pink! And I suspect there is a great body under all that excellent fashion gear he wears. And I love that slouchy hat, Karl Edwin. By the way, he's a photographer.

This week's Handsomest Man in the World is very very handsome. He's Lady Gaga's boyfriend Taylor Kinney. He's in the movie Zero Dark Thirty and on the TV show Chicago Fire. He's really got it. I find all the new male actors looks alike, but he does not.

It seems he may not be very tall - the photos above from Vogue the model Amber Valletta sees to be scrunching down a lot. But she's probably well over six feel in heels.

Well here we are with another Handsomest Man in the World day. I have just returned from Montevideo, Uruguay and I want to go on the record that the men there are just getting handsomer and handsomer - wow. There are so many handsome men in Uruguay they think that is how it should be. And no one is on their way to Hollywood - it's great!

My choice for Handsomest Man in the World this week is Phil Winser, who owns The Fat Radish a pub in New York. Please note the hair, which is a return-to-the-sixties direction for you guys. He is the boyfriend of actress/model Dree Hemingway (a descendant of Ernest Hemingway) - but you can dream about him being yours.
